In its 5th anniversary, Fighting Spirit Film Festival will honour its name/motto challenging the adversities of this uncertain moment and will go ahead with an apt version of the event.
The Festival is planned for 7th of November at Stratford Picturehouse, London, UK. Of course, this will depend on any changes in guidelines that may occur affecting the ability to hold an event safely. At the moment the organisers have gone for a 1day event to minimise travelling, and also the changes in people where possible.
The whole team was impressed with the standard of short film submissions and have decided to do a slimmer version of Fighting Spirit Film Festival for safety reasons but felt it was important to give these films the cinema experience.
Due to the current situation, there will be reduced number of seats in the cinema . So, you will be able to book only a maximum of 6 seats together, and there will be a 2 seat gap either side to ensure social distancing. At the screening people will be required to wear masks unless they are eating or drinking. There won't be stands or stalls to avoid gathering and most of the event will be contained in screen. ll bookings will be online but people can book at the cinema but would have to fill in some details for track and trace. This also will protect other customers in the cinema not attending the Festival.
The FSFF feels that having a cinema experience is the best way to view films so all these measures are in place to reassure the venue a safe event can be put on.
Tickets won't be on sale just yet but as soon as they are a link will be available on the Official Website and we will publish the link here. Stay tuned!
