This selection comes from Alexander Knoth who chooses “Violent Cop Main Theme” by Daisaku Kume.
For his directorial debut “Violent Cop” (1989) Takeshi Kitano assigns Daisaku Kume with the original score. It is one of his rare movies that aren't shaped by the sounds of his regular composer, Joe Hisaishi, who created most of Kitano's film soundtracks (“A Scene at the Sea”, “Sonatine“, “Kid's Return”, “Hana-bi” and many more).
The jazzy theme is melancholy and slow, but at the same time as intense as the movie.
