Yui (KATAYAMA Yuki) and Shinya (BANDO Ryota) are in love and in a de facto relationship. Shinya runs a lunch box shop while Yui works at a nursery. She dreams of starting a family but Shinya is a transgender man who cannot officially marry or have his own children. When Yui cannot give up on her dream and starts to doubt her life with Shinya, he decides to leave. However, things do not work out for them even when apart so they get back together, seek a sperm donor and with Yui’s fertility issues, they decide for Shinya to have the baby instead.
Written and directed by IIZUKA Kashou (Our Future), this film premiered in November 2021 under the Asia Pride Section of the Seoul International Pride Film Festival. The National Roadshow in Japan is scheduled for January 14, 2022.
