R4 Films and Deviant Children Productions are back once again, this time with an all out action movie starring Martial Arts Legend Robert Samuels (Gambling Ghost) and Hector Soria.
Jugando Con Fuego follows the story of Jimmy Force (Robert Samuels), a CIA agent looking to retire, but to first bring down the Mexican cartel, led by Tony Lobo (Hector Soria). This is Jimmy's last big case, he faces the questions from the press (a great acting performance from Robert Samules), forms his team and arrests Tony Lobo.
This is where the movie really takes off, when Jimny and his partner Elena are brutally attacked in their home by Tony and his cartel members. The action that takes place here leaves you on the edge on your seat, Guns vs Machete, Hand to Hand combat and the camera work captures every move. Its a very hard hitting and bloody sequence, but one that showcases the Martial Art skills and stunt work from Robert Samuels and the rest of the action team involved including TeamOneTake, B-Squad Accion and more.
The big finale sees Jimmy face off against Tony in all out epic showdown, a gruesome and bloody affair which leaves you wanting more by the end. Once again, the action choreography is very good, the actors skill set is on show for everyone to see and the camera work, brings a great experience from start to finish.
i have to say, i very much enjoyed Hector Sorias performance as the cartel boss Tony Lobo. His appearance and look on screen reminded me of Sammo Hung in the brilliant SPL (Sha Po Lang).
Robert Samuels gives one of his best acting and fight performances of his career. I really feel the writer and Director Nicholas Ortiz, gave the character of Jimmy a chance to show his feelings to the audience and Robert did just that.
Jugando Con Fuego will be released sometime in April, if you like hard hitting action, this is for you.
