Mr Askar Abdrakhmanov, Permanent Delegate of Kazakhstan to Unesco, and Mrs Ainur Danenova, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France, awarded Martine and Jean-Marc Thérouanne, co-directors and co-founders of the Festival International des Cinémas d’Asie de Vesoul, “L’Homme d’or d’Issyk” honorary prize for cinema in Kazakhstan, for their thirty-year commitment to promoting Kazakh cinema in France.
The ceremony took place during the opening of the 5th Festival du Cinéma Kazakh en France, at the Forum des images in Paris, on Wednesday November 29, 2023 at 7pm, in the presence of numerous professionals from Asian cinema who had come to Vesoul and a large audience.
The opening ceremony continued with the presentation of the “Golden Man Issyk” trophy to the great Kazakh actress Meruyert Utekesheva, for her entire career.
